Suggest Treatment For Red Raised Bumps In The Throat

Hi Doctor,

I have red raised bumps in the back of my toungue. I have to extend my toungue out to see them, and it feels like they are going down my throat. It doesn't hurt, but it's been a week and I have no idea what's going on. I had oral sex with a girl three days before. I don't know if that could be part of the reason. Is there anything I can do or take over the counter medication to get rid of these bumps. Thank you.

Hello!
You are mentioning the circumvallate papilla present on the posterior part of the tongue. This is normal anatomy and there is nothing to worry about it.

Hope this helps.
