Suggest Treatment For Red Rashes On My Feet And Ankle
4 years ago I started noticing these little red marks on my feet & ankles they didn t itch or burn. They were more of an eyesore then anything. They went away briefly and about 2 years ago they returned with a vengeance. But this time they are brown and very noticeable, they don t hurt at all. What I have noticed this time around is that my feet get extremely swollen and at times feel very heavy. Although, I don t have any marks on my lower legs, my legs do hurt a lot. I know seeing a doctor is my best option, but at the present time, I cannot. Is there anything otc that can help?
Hi. As per your case history you are having pigmented purpuric dermatosis. My treatment advice is - 1. Avoid standing for long periods of time. 2. Apply a calcium dobisilate cream like Osil cream twice daily on it. 3. It is better to wear a lower limb pressure garment throughout the day. 4. Other treatment options are oral calcium dobisilate, oral multivitamin and topical steroid used only after consulting a dermatologist.
Thanks. Dr. Harshit bhachech. MBBS, DDVL.
