Suggest Treatment For Red Spots And Bruises After Injury
My 9 year old daughter plays soccer and about 3 weeks ago she was hit in the face with the ball, we got her off the field right away and iced her face for about 15 min. She seemed fine and played again in the 2nd half. We continued to ice her face off and on for the following 24 hrs. and she seemed to be fine. About 4-5 days ago new tiny blood spots appeared around her eye area and we have noticed that she is bruising easily with those same tiny blood spots in and around the bruise. This is not normal for her, Should we be conserned?
After injury over face and especially over eye immediately redness appear, after some time swelling which increases within 72 hours. Also, swelling decreases brownish to black area appears, making the eye look like a black eye. This later slowly disappears within 3 to 5 weeks.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
