Hi! I have had RLS during my pregnancy. I was told that it would cease once I delivered. My little girl will be turning 2 next month. The RLS is still there. I m also now experiencing shock like symptoms in my legs (they literally jump randomly. Also, once in a while, I experience a shock like pain in my vagina ??? My symptoms seem to be getting worse than better.

Suggest Treatment For Restless Leg Syndrome
Hi, First, let me congratulate for your little girl. It is true that RLS is normal during pregnancy. Two months is not enough to see improvement. It will take longer until everything will be settled. Now, I advise to get a blood electrolytes checked together with complete blood count to rule out low magnesium levels and anemia respectively. For the moment, I advise to: - eat healthy - increase fluids intake - take more rest - continue taking the pre-natal multivitamins All the best! Dr.Albana
