Suggest Treatment For Restricted Movement In The Knee After A Surgery

My orthopedic surgeon recommends surgery indicating I will be pain free with no concern for the arthritis but also tells me I will have limited range of motion and won t be able to lift my right in the air, could only lift it to parallel but not hiring. Is there an alternative to having that limited range of motion. YYYY@YYYY

Hi,

It takes time after knee surgery to recover completely. You can consult an orthopedician/physiatrist and plan for physiotherapy.

If symptoms are severe, you can go for an MRI scan.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
