Hi. Rheumatoid arthritis is life long disease, it can be controlled with drug like methotrexate, short course of steroids and painkillers.disease monitoring is important with the tests like ESR, CRP. FULL BLOOD COUNT and LIVER FUNCTION TEST should be repeated on monthly basis as methotraxate is toxic for liver and bone marrow. You should have an appointment of rheumatologist as they are trained in this field. Wish you good health.
