Suggest Treatment For Right Ankle Pain Related To Tibial Tendon Issue Apart From Big Toe Pain Around The Toenail

Hi. I ve recently had right ankle pain. I m seeing an ortho for it. Seems to be related to a tibial tendon issue. I had an MRi on my foot and ankle. I could feel where the scan was taking place. The whole series. Later that night my big toe started very bad pain especially under my toenail and around it. Still hurts but is decreasing slowly. What could it be?

Hello,

The pain in the toenail is not related to the MRI. I recommend checking uric acid plasma levels, and inflammation tests (complete blood count, PCR, ESR). It seems to be just local inflammation.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
