Suggest Treatment For Ringing In Ears After Visiting A Shooting Range
Hello, my boyfriend went to a shooting range yesterday and forgot to wear ear protection on one round. Now one of his ears is ringing and he can t hear that well. First question is this normal and is it a temporary thing? What can he do to help soothe the discomfort? Thank you.

HI Welcome to H C M. Ringing called Tinnitus,Post shooting ringing due to poor sound suppression is normal. Your ears will be fine. You are probably o k ,but now you know to use hearing protection . Long term exposure to this sort of ear damage will definitely cause hear loss. There is no treatment of tinnitus ,only counseling. Doctor will treat Anxiety,Depression,Sleep Disorder due to tinnitus. So always use ear protection or forget shooting. Take care. Thanks for asking question .
