Suggest Treatment For Rosacea Acne

i have a nine year old daughter.since last year her cheeks started turning really red.then during vacations she gained a good 8kgs,she was really skinny before.after her weight gain she is 36kgs,4.5 inches in height.now she has been diagnosed with rocasea acne.what she we do? is it curable.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query your daughter have symptoms of rosacea acne on her cheeks. Need not to worry. I Would suggest you to :-

Exfoliate gently once or twice a day with a salicylic acid-based exfoliant .

Apply benzoyl peroxide cream or gel for killing the bacteria in the pore .

Wash your face using a mild soap or cleanser and lukewarm water .

Avoid greasy creams ,use water based products.

If condition doesn't improve in a week then consult dermatologist for proper diagnosis.

Doctor may prescribe oral antibiotics like clindamycin , Isotretinoin or Hormone Therapy.
