Suggest Treatment For Runny Nose With Green Phlegm Due To Travelling

Hi there, I am visiting India from New Zealand and I have come down with a dreadful runny nose but no fever or green phlem. I went to a chemist in central Delhi and he gave me Cheston cold. However in searching the internet I see this is banned in India. Can you please tell me the risks and how high these are? Thanks,

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello

Welcome in H.C.M.

I have gone through your query regarding running nose with green phlegm. Your symptoms are in favour of allergic rhinitis (nasal allergy), this might have possible as you visited India from New Zealand so the climatic changes and dust are supposed to be responsible for it.

You may take -

1- Tab Fexofenadine.

2- Steam inhalation.

Probably above will solve your problem otherwise consultation with ENT doctor will become necessary for examination for and treatment.

Regards.
