I ve had a total of 6 ruptured ovarian cysts (2 in left ovary, 4 small in right ovary) in the past 3 months. They had caused a great deal of excruciating pain, numerous gyno visits, & mounting medical bills. During my last visit, I was told I the cyst in my right ovary was leaking slowly, which was causing all of my pain b/c it s taking a while to reabsorb into my peritoneal cavity. Since the first rupture 3 months ago, I ve lost a total of 25 pounds! I hate it! It has caused constipation & I still feel pain & tenderness in my right ovary. I was given Naproxen Sodium & Loritabs for pain, and placed on a stronger oral contraceptive to prevent reoccuring cysts. Luckily, the severity of the pain has lessened, so I haven t had the need to take those zombie-fying meds! At this point, I want to know should I demand a needle aspirate of the cyst & have the sample checked for cancer? Should I have the cyst surgically removed? I m 31 with 2 children, and want to keep the option open to have more in the future, if I so choose. I have my next appointment scheduled a week from now. PLEASE HELP! Thanks in advance
