Suggest Treatment For Scab And Swelling On Shaft Of Penis

hi, i was just wondering what this may be. my partner had a scab on the shaft of his penis got treatment then a couple wk later it swelled up in that same area he went to the hosp. they gave him cephalexin the swelling went down a lil but the scab is still there do you know what this can be?

Thanks for query.

Your boyfriend has developed scab on shaft of his penis .

The scab is a protective covering for any ulcer or wound during the phase of healing while healing is taking lace beneath it.

This healing phase differs from person to person as far as time for healing is concerned .

Ask him to take broad spectrum antibiotic like Doxicycline along with anti inflammatory drug like Diclofenac twice daily.along with topical antibiotic ointment like Neosporin twice daily.

Ensure to wash your genitals with warm water twice daily.

Ensure to avoid sexual encounters till it heals up completely.

Do not attempt to peel of the scab.
