Hello. Thanks for asking from HCM.

I can understand your concern. The cause of headache could be eye strain and stress (physical and mental). This type of headache is know as "tension headache". It is usually dull type, holocranial, gives band like sensation around forehead, fells like heaviness, increases with stress/bright light.

For relief, you can follow few tips
; Avoid bright light
; Use glasses while working or reading
; Close your eyes for 5 minutes after every hour working on laptop or computer
; maintain 8 hours sleep routine
; Control your mental stress or worrying tendency
; You can get head and neck massage
; You can take painkiller like Diclofenac sodium after proper prescription
; If still no relief, you should consult doctor.

Do not worry about blood tests. The tests might be done to know about blood sugar, cholesterol as routine information. To know more, you can provide details of your blood tests by asking another question. I will try to explain you relevance of each test in a better way .

Regarding sciatica, if you are a known case of it and you are having severe pain, you can follow few tips
; avoid weight lifting
; avoid forward flexion of back
; avoid prolonged standing or sitting at one place
; bed rest
; you can use lumbar corset to immobilise your spine and thus induction of pain
; You can take painkiller like Pregabaline or Gabapentine or combination of Pregabaline-Nortryptiline after proper prescription.
; Still no relief, you can consult doctor

Hope it will help you.

Thanks. Take care.

dear,
Welcome to HCM
Siatica and headache seems independent in your case and needs to managed separately.
Your complaint is consistent with tension type of headache, although you said you have problem with reading, so need to check and correct your vision first.
Meanwhile, tab ibuprofen or paracetamol can be taken as needed. I would strongly advice to consult a neurologist to rule out migraine condition.
For Siatica pain, an MRI lower back spine is indicated that can yield is current status of spine. Accordindly the management depends. Here a consulation to orthopedician is suggestible.
