I have some slight nausea that seems to be way too often. I do have scleroderma that I was diagnosed with when I was 44 and now am 61. I am in pretty good health and very active ... 5 6 and 150 lbs. my scleroderma has not caused any issues thus far except some digestive issues and raynauds syndrome. I do eat a pretty bland diet because of digestive issues and take a daily probiotic. I also have a small hernia which has not ever been too much of a problem. I have had 2 endoscopy procedures that were pretty normal. I just don t feel 100% and wonder if I should see a gastrointestinal doctor. I do see an arthritis specialist yearly to keep up with the progress of the scleroderma.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
It is quite credible that you look after your health so well, so well done on that front. You did mention that you do have a bland diet due to the digestive issues. You could try changing your diet a little bit and adding some variety without making it too spicy. Also having long gaps in meals can lead to acidity and thereby cause nausea. In case it persists and causes you a lot of discomfort, I suggest you visit your concerned doctor for the same.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Smruti Pevekar
