Suggest Treatment For Seborrheic Dermatitis

Sir Iam sudhi ,39 yrs ,from kerala. Ihave been suffering from Seboric dermatitis since long .I have a fair skin but due to the disease my face alone is dark.I have tried all schemes of medicine but no relief.Now iam on alopathic medicine.Iam feeling little better.My skin got cleared off from te dark rashes.But my skin colour is not improving when compared to the other parts of my body.The moment I stop medicines ,the problem again comes .Is there any permanent solution for my problem.Please reply.I have applied gel based cream like Benzac,carofit,eumosone.Now Iam applying melaglow,

hi,
thank you for asking on HCM.
as per your history, you have post inflammatory hyperpigmentation due to seborrheic dermatitis.
-- since you are already using melaglow, continue using.
-- you may also apply carofit cream twice a day on dark spots.
-- use sunscreen of spf 30 applied 20 minutes before going out in sun, reapplied every 3-4 hrs.
-- apply benzac on acne lesion, if you have any.
-- there is no need to apply eumosone since you dont have lesions of seborrheic dermatitis.
-- there is no permanent cure to seborrheic dermatitis, only you can prevent it by regular washing of face, applying aloe vera gel, keeping your skin hydrated.
if lesions are pesistant, you may consult your dermatologist for chemical peels, lasers as advised by them.
