Suggest Treatment For Seizures With Severe Pain In The Left Side Of The Neck

my husband has been having seizures if some sort, it usually starts with severe pain in his neck on the left side..when he ha these he doesn t know where he is or who anyone is . the last one was very bad. he had high sensitivity to light....i called an ambulance and the hospital sent him home saing it was a non epiteptic seizure....no meds no nothing

Regarding your concern, I would explain that his symptoms could be related to emotional stress. Anyway, I would recommend consulting with a neurologist for a physical exam and performing some tests:

- a cervical spine X ray study
- a resting ECG
- an EEG
- a brain CT scan
- complete blood count
- thyroid hormone levels for thyroid gland dysfunction.

If all these tests result normal, I would recommend consulting with a psychiatrist.
