Suggest Treatment For Sensorineural Hearing Loss In Both Ears
I have sensorineural hearing loss in both right and left ear. Stapedectomy in right ear in 2012 which resulted in no improvement of hearing, in fact further loss caused by vestibulitis (had severe bout of vertigo which surgeon said was not related) per second opinion. For the most part no, I can t hear with my right ear. There is also conductive hearing loss in right and left ears. Now left ear has declined considerably over past year. Recent audiogram showed left ear with normal declining to moderate high frequency sensory hearing loss. Right ear with severe mies hearing loss. Discrimination is 92% in left and 32% in right. Eustachian tube function testing is poor in right ear. My question is: would my right ear benefit from a cochlear implant? Thank you.
