constipation can be due to inadequate exercise, less fruit and water or functional bowel problem.
First you have to continue regular exercise daily.
You have to control outside food to a minimum like esp.fast food.
If habit of smoking then it should be stopped.
Drink more water and fruit juices regularly.
Take green leafy vegetables.
Along with
stool softener also take fiber supplements tablet or
digestive enzyme tablet.
Fiber containing food helpful like wheat bran, broccoli, apple,beans etc.
Banana, honey , onion like prebiotic food helpful.
Chamomile in tea can be taken.
If these measures fail then organic cause has to searched like by doing endoscopy examination, x ray or
ultrasound examination.That might reveal any organic cause like
intestinal obstruction , bands , adhesion etc.
