Hi! Good evening. I am Dr Shareef answering your query. If I were your daughter's doctor, after a clinical assessment of her abdomen, I might advise her with some investigations like a
stool test, urine test, blood tests like a CBC, serum
amylase and lipase, and an LFT, blood urea and
serum creatinine, and an
ultrasound of the whole abdomen to rule out any kind of stone disease or any intraabdominal pathology.
At the same time, I would advise her to stop any kind of food from outside including smoking or drinking immaterial of the frquency or amount, if she does. During pain, I might prescribe her with some anti spasmodic drug along with a
proton pump inhibitor drug for a symptomatic relief. Further management would depend on the report of her investigations.
I hope this information would help you in discussing with your family physician/treating doctor in further management of your problem. Please do not hesitate to ask in case of any further doubts.
Thanks for choosing health care magic to clear doubts on your health problems. I wish you an early recovery. Dr Shareef.
