I am a male, 41 yrs old and about 5' 3". I had this fissure problem with anal bleeding when passing stools about 3 yrs back. Last couple of years, the problem seemed to have vanished with occasional use of fibre medication. About 4 months now, the problem has come back. There is no bleeding this time but there is acute pain when passing stools and hours after that. Spraying water when passing seems to comfort a bit but it comes back. Please advise.

Use 0.2% GTN ointment and lignocaine 0.5% ointment before passing each stool.
Use Ispaghula Husk thrice daily after meals.
Drink lot of water.
