Hi I was having severe bleeding lasting for more than 20 days when I had menstrual cycle and am a lactating mother my doctor adviced to take primolut N 10mg bd for 21 days.she said it is safe to have while breastfeeding. But in internet and all when I searched it is not advisable. Is it safe? If not What is the effect of this drug in my baby
Primalute is a progesterone preparation and it is not safe in lactating mother. You can take Tranexemic acid or Ethamsylate tablets for symptomatic relief and in case of persistent bleeding, you can consult a gynecologist and get evaluated.
