Suggest Treatment For Severe Bruise In The Ribs

Hi,
I am a 29y/o female and have been in pain for about a 13 days now. The pain has been gradual and had gotten to the point of unbearable. I have fibromyalgia but this is not something that I have ever dealt with. I am on pain medication for my fibromyalgia but it does not seem to be working with this injury I have recently acquired.
I am not sure if I have just severely bruised my ribs or if perhaps they are fractured but it hurts when I breathe, cough, move, lay down (on my back or my left, uninjured side). It feels like i am being stabbed anytime I do any of these things. Even when I unconsciously stretch out my right leg I am getting this pain.
I only get about 2-4 hours of sleep everyday as I move in my sleep and any time I do I wake up screaming and crying out in pain.
I went to the hospital on Monday and it was a horrible experience. The nurse there kept dismissing my issues and pain every time I said something to her. The only reason I can think of is that I am on oxycontin for the fibro and even though I brought my own pain meds to the ER and told them I was not looking to get a script for pain meds, she assumed I was. (I have since learned that many people go to the ER for this particular narcotic) The doctor came in and listened to my breathing and what was causing the pain and then proceeded to tell me it sounds like I have fibromyalgia. (that was in my chart already)
I know its not the Fibro that is causing this. Could you possibly give me any idea of what it may be.
I have not had any trauma to my chest area. I tried to quit smoking as I had been coughing a lot in the months of Nov-Dec and when I quit the coughing got a lot worse. Not sure if that had anything to do with it or not but I thought I would mention it.
