Suggest Treatment For Severe Choking And Cough

My mother is 88 yrs. old and is constantly couhging and chocking and seems to think it is due to sinus drainage but she chokes to the point of turning purple and it scares the daylights out of me. She does nt want to go to doc and seems to think that there is a med that will stop drainage.She used to take Copyronil that I guess worked but I m lost and don t like the ide of her choking to death. Any ideas?

In my opinion you should immediately consult ENT surgeon for this. Because turning purple after choking is something very serious.
She might be having significant obstruction in upper airways which is obstructing air flow. This low air flow will reduce body oxygen and cause cyanosis (turning purple).
So better not to wait at home.
Consult ENT surgeon and get done
1. Laryngoscopy
2. CT neck.
To rule out severe obstruction in air passage.
