Suggest Treatment For Severe Congestion And Sore Throat
What over the counter medication do you recommend for severe congestion? (by severe I mean my nose is stuffy, sinus pressure, can't hear well) I feel like I'm taking too much and nothing's working to break it up. I'm having trouble using neti pot as my nose is very sensitive due to cold sore on one nostril
Do you have high temperature either? Do you have headache or nose root pain which indicates sinusitis?
If you don't,, just take decongestionants and a spray for the sore throat.
You can use Xylometazoline nasal drops for the congestion and propolis spray for the soreness of the throat. Ambroxol will reduce the mucous in your respiratory tract. Vitamin C would help you to recover quicker.
If you have the symptoms which I asked you for, consider the antibiotics for a possible sinusitis. In this case Augmentin or Clarithromycin would be the best choice. Meanwhile have a diet with a lot of fluids.
Take care and I hope you'll get well asap. Best regards! DR ERIOL.
