Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am 25 years old. I have an acute constipation problem from last 4-5 years, have tried many medicines but effect lasts just when continuing with those medicines. When i left taking medicines it again come back. I wants to know, if this can be cured somehow ?
Hello, you seem to have chronic constipation. You need a thyroid function test and a hemogram along with a stool examination. Depending on these tests further treatment can be planned. I would suggest to get these tests done and in the mean time continue medications. If what you have is slow transit constipation the we dont talk of cure we try to maintain regular bowel movements with a minmum dose of regular or intermittent medications. Hope this helps
