Suggest Treatment For Severe Fungal Infection In The Vagina
I think I have a fungal infection like ringworm on the external area of my vagina…..mainly only itches when I urinat3...have some flat, reddish, small, nonitchy patçhes at the bend of the top of my thighs similar to ringworm. I used an antifungal and the patches went away for a long time, but recently recurred…but after the patches went away the external vaginal itching began. Is not constant...nothing else...just itching and cannot seem to get rid of it. How long and often should I use the miconazole to get it to go away completely?
Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. You seem to suffer from tinea cruris which is a fungal infection of the genital area. You should use terbinafine ointment for at least4-6 weeks on the lesions to get complete relief. Hope you found the answer helpful . Wishing you good health. Dr Deepti Verma
