Welcome to HealthCare Magic. Thank you for posting your query.
I can understand your concern.
It would have been great had I examined you on my own.
The dark brown stool is probably not a result of the biopsy during the upper GI endoscopy. You could be having ulcers in the colon or
inflammatory bowel disease .
Do not worry.
I would suggest you to
- Drink loads of water
- Avoid oily,spicy food
- Have a diet rich in fibres
- I would start tablet
Pantoprazole . Your doctor can guide on the exact dosage
- I would also start syrup Lactulose to soften your stool
- Get a blood
haemoglobin , total count , ESR done - to look at the amount of blood loss.
- I would also start Tablet
Tranexamic acid as and when there is excessive bleeding.
- Avoid straining during stool
- Get a
colonoscopy done to help in the diagnosis
I would also suggest you to visit a physician . He/she can examine you and correlate clinically.
Hope this helps.

Have a nice day.
