Hello,
You are advised not to wear your hair tightly pulled back. Avoid making ponytails, buns or braided tightly braided hair. Do not use curling irons and hair dryers. Be gentle with your hair and care for it. Your symptoms may be indicative of androgenetic alopecia, it causes the hair to thin and recede, loss of hair at the hairline is common, it affects men and women & hair may fall in patches.
You are suggested to take
minoxidil, it will help to slow down
hair fall. it is a peripheral vasodilator and helps better blood circulation and hair growth. It can topically be applied on the scalp gently.
Finasteride taken in appropriate amount helps hair growth.
Do not take medicines in excess, as they all have side effects. Taking vitamin B (B6. B12) rich food or supplements are helpful. Taking pumpkin seeds and caffeine is also helpful. Get clinically examined by a GP, to rule out any underlying health condition like
thyroid dysfunction, fungal infection/
ring worm in the scalp. etc. Get it treated.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
