Hello! I understand your concern. In my opinion your problems may be caused by a so called tension type headache. It is caused by contraction of the scalp muscles. It may by caused just by stress or a wrong position of the head and neck during work. But as you refer the pain is going down to your neck. A cervical spondylosis too could cause these symptoms. It makes the neck muscles contract and cause neck and posterior head pain. I would recommend you a good physical examination from a doctor and cervical column xray to rule out this diagnosis. I would like to know if you have proved light massages in the posterior neck . They may help by reducing muscles contractions. Acetaminophen, ibuprofen , naproxene will be helpful too.
