Suggest Treatment For Severe Headache And Nausea

Hi. My 14 year old son was in a hand squeezing contest with his 16 yr brother last night . They were squeezing each others hands really hard and my 14yr old fell over with terrible pain in his head. He was nauseous and had a horrible headache immediately . He woke up with a terrible headache and has had one all day, worse when he gets up. I have an apt at the Dr tomorrow afternoon, but am feeling worried. Should I just take him to the ER? Thank you!!!

Hello,
Thank you for your question and welcome to Health Care Magic. I read your query and I understand your concern and the anguish that you are having

I do not think that this is something too dangerous. It is possible that he had a simple injury to the hand which caused the headache. The hand pain can act as a trigger factor and release a lot of neurotransmitters which call pain.

You can ice the hand several times a day. This will help. Also, you can take tablet Acepara so that the pain and the headache stops. Wish you a quick recovery. All the best.

Hope this helps you. Feel free to clarify further.
