Suggest Treatment For Severe Headache And Tonic Seizure
Hello, I have been seeing many doctors, and am beyond frustrated. It started n Sept 2014 with severe headaches, then concentration issues, then one morning I forgot what city I was in. Husband ruhed me to the ER for an MRI, where they found lesions on my brain. One was 8mm. The headaches continued and worsened, and on thanksgiving 2014 came my first tonic seizure. I have had 6 now, and they seem to be getting closer together. I had a cat scan as well that showed ethmoid air cell mucosal thickening and a normal EEG since.
I wish you had provided more information regarding those MRI lesions. A lesion means simply a damage to the brain, says nothing regarding its nature, it could be anything like infection, inflammation, stroke, simply old remains of an old condition, etc.
Naturally management depends on the nature of the lesion, it is hard to suggest something based on the current info, only an antiepileptic like Valproc acid. If you have MRI report please write again providing full report and other possible tests you might have had.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Olsi Taka,
Neurologist
