Suggest Treatment For Severe Headache In A Child

My 9 yr old son has been complaining of severe headache for 3 days now, he says it feels like there is water in his head. He cant stand the light either. I am wondering could this be allergy s or something like tonsilitis, which my nephew had about a week ago.

Severe headache is surely mattern of concern especially because its been there for 3 days now. I would like to know more details on it as in where exactly it's hurting in the head and what's the type of pain also is there any factor that would relieve the pain to atleast some extent. Feeling of water in the head can suggest at possible sinusitis which can be secondary to upper respiratory infection and due to blockage of sinuses. As of now, I would suggest that he does steam inhalation regularly atleast 3 times daily. An anti histamine can also help a lot. If nose is blocked , nasal decongestant drops would help further. Hope my advice is of some help. Happy to clear any further queries. Take care.
