Suggest Treatment For Severe Inner Knee Pain

3-4 months ago my knee got caught between a pipe gate and a pipe fence. Cattle came off a trailer and pushed the gate and my leg got caught. It hurt so bad I thought I was going to pass out. After a while I felt better and determined that I hadn t broken any bones and went on with life. I can exercise and lift weights and do daily life without pain, but if my pants brush on the inside of my knee it is extremely painful. When I sleep on my side at night I have to be careful to position my knee so that it. Isn t resting on anything. Very painful to touch. Can t figure out what kind of damage has happened and if it will go away with out treatment.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Consult an orthopaedician and get evaluated. An MRI scan will be helpful to rule out tendon or ligament involvement. As of now analgesics like Aceclofenac or Tramadol can be taken.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
