Suggest Treatment For Severe Itchiness And Pain In The Leg

I got stung by a bee (I m pretty sure as there seemed to be the stinger left which I brushed off) and I woke at 3:30 am with the place on my heel itching and painful. I have lymphademia in that leg so when it developed a dark center bruise and red swelling surrounding I became concerned. There is white surrounding the bruised area and then red. It is also raised. How should I treat it? And could it be something other than a bee sting?

Hello
I feel my answer may be bit delayed. If it was due to bee sting and allergy by this time you might have consulted the emergency and got the medications. If it is due an acute infection on a lymphaedematous leg,it can become worse so you better have a check with your family doctor. If that redness and itchy pain is due to cellulitis ,it will need a course of antibiotics and local skin care to prevent further progression.Lymphaedmea is prone for sudden flare up of skin infection. On the other end you are fortunate if it is bee sting and allergy. An antiallergic medication should take care of it.
