Suggest Treatment For Severe Itchiness On The Scalp And Ear
I m 67 and recently my ears, outer and canals, have been itching. They also feel hot at times. At times, it seems they get what feels like peach fuzz . I wash and wash but within a very short time, they just start itching again. It s driving me insane!!! My scalp also itches and I ve used every dandruff shampoo on the market and nothing helps. I don t know if I have dandruff or something else.
You seem to have itchy dermatosis like prurigo or contact allergic dermatitis. You consult dermatologist to have firm diagnosis and perfect treatment. After thorough examination and complete investigations,he might give treatment to improve your condition. If internal diseases like diabetes is found, it requires treatment.
To control itching, you may be given antihistaminics like desloratidine. If required, steroid in tappering doses may be cosidered. If any cause is detected, it should be removed. I hope you got my answer.
Thanks.
