Suggest Treatment For Severe Itching

My boyfriend got into bed tonight where my cat was laying and 3 minutes later he started itching really bad and said the itchy feeling was out of control! I gave him 3 Benadryl one hour ago and it s still not working....oh AND he has a really bad sunburn. Help me please!

From the history given, the symptoms are in keeping with an allergic reaction likely to the cat.

The benadryl is an appropriate treatment for this. Since he had it only an hour ago, he would not be able to get a repeat dose.

If the reaction is not decreasing, he may need to visit the doctor for a stat dose of steroids.
