Suggest Treatment For Severe Knee Pain

My 11yr old daughter has inner knee pain. It hurts to straighten and bare weight on it. She landed funny on the trampoline 5 days ago. It hurts if I push on it and seems to be swollen just a little on the inner side of her knee cap. What do I need to do?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hi, Welcome to healhcaremagic. After going through your query I concluded that your daughter got soft tissue injury knee. You can get her x rays done to rule out fracture. Treatment of it is rest to the joint, analgesic such as ibuprofen. Vitamin B and C help in recovery. Icing is helpful. You can investigate in detail by MRI scan. You can discuss it with your doctor. Hope you got something helpful to you. If you have additional questions and query please don't hesitate to write to us. I will be happy to answer your query.Wishing you a good health. Take care.
