Suggest Treatment For Severe Lichen Simplex
Hi, I originally was dx with pct because of blisters on top of hands and feet due to biopsy, it has now gotten worse and I go to Boston hospitals and they say it is Lichen complicatus simplex, it is disfiguring me, and they have me on thalidomie which I hate, they did a biopy and said that is what is was. The porphria turned out neg in stool, and twenty four hour urine, I don t know what to do next. thank you, Lesley 54 yr old healthy woman

1. Don't scratch the lesion as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a mild antibiotic plus steroid cream like fusiderm-b cream twice daily on it.
3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine twice daily for 7-10 days.
4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics, oral steroid taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
