Suggest Treatment For Severe Menstrual Pain

Hello, I m a 20 year old female that had pretty regular menstrual cycles. I have had a severe cramps on and off the past couple days. My cycle was 1 week ago. At first I figured it was just ovulation however I m in alot more pain than usual it will hit me all of a sudden then go away it causes me to double over In pain.

Hallow Dear,

You seem to be right. This appears to be ovulation pain (sometimes it may be associated with little bleeding also). May be there is some amount of bleeding from the ruptured follicle into the abdominal cavity causing such a severe pain. The pain should subside within a day or two. However, if the pain is intolerable, you may take some painkiller for relief. If that also does not relieve you from the pain, please report to a Gynaecologist.
