I have had severe pain in the bridge of my nose for about 2 - 3 weeks. When I bend down I feel so much pressure it feels like it will explode. I can t touch my nose with out severe pain, much less blow my nose, as moving the cartilage causes great pain as welI. I did see my ENT who had performed sinus surgery 8 years ago to remove a cyst in my Ethmoid Sinus and another cyst in my Maxillary sinus. He saw no reason for me to be in so much pain. He recommended a CT Scan of my sinuses and facial bones. He also mentioned if this came back negative he was going to suggest I bee seen by a Neurologist. Do you have any idea s of why I might be feeling this pain?
Thanks for asking in healthcaremagic forum It is possible to get head ache and pain like this from sinus infection though there are many other causes for this. Your history is also suggestive of sinus problem as surgeries were performed for sinus problem(though for cyst). So, it is better to undergo CT scan as suggested by your doctor to rule out any growth/cyst in the sinuses giving rise to this pain. All the best.
