Suggest Treatment For Severe Nose Pain

Hi, I have an ache similar to a black and blue pain on the bridge of my nose. In the morning it was slightly noticeable and as the day progressed it s more prominent; as if I was pressing on the black and blue. I thought it was a sinus infection but I have no other symptoms. What do you think it is? Should I be concerned? Thank you, Emily

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have severe nose pain . Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to may reasons furuncle , rhinophyma , severe allergic , rhinitis , nasal congestion , nasal fracture , contusions and sinusitis . I would suggest you to apply warm compresses to nose , take anti histamine like benadryl and take steam twice a day . Consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor may order nasal endoscopy and CT scan to confirm the diagnosis . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics ( amoxicillin or penicillin ) along with decongestant and expectorant and anti allergic drug .
