Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

For which disease you are on Allopurinol? Did you ever ask your physician for it?
As per my opinion you have gouty arthritis, because of which you are having pain in distal joints. And for gout only you are on Allopurinol. Although, it reduces uric acid level in blood, for pain relief you have to take Ibuprofen / Mefenemic acid / Diclofenac (NSAIDS) or Colchicin according to physician’s advice.

I hope I have answered your query. Let me know if you have any further questions.
Regards,
Dr. Hiren Hirpara
