Hello,
I have gone through the query and understood your concern. With regular menstrual cycles, HPT should read well 3-7 days after the missed period. The fact that you had a faint line shows that there is insufficient hormone level. Please go for the estimation of the serum beta-hCG titres coupled with a trans-vaginal sonogram for further clarification. Thick vaginal discharge is seen during preovulatory phase; it can also be seen in vaginal candidiasis and is often associated with itching/burning. Hope this helps.
