Suggest Treatment For Severe Psoriasis When Suffering From Diabetes
Hi, my father is suffering from Psoriasis since past 3 years, he is 60 years old with diabetic condition (since last 15 years). He is on insulin (twice a day) for past 2 years. Recently (last 4-5 months) his psoriasis is getting worse even with all types of medical attention being given. On the advice of a good dermatologist he took 5mg Oncotrex for a period of 4 months during which he got some relief from Psoriasis however, his liver condition got worse even after monthly monitoring of blood counts and LFT. Now I have no idea how to relief his itching and pain because his psoriasis is not just restricted to some areas of his body but has spread all his body except for face. Please kindly guide as to what can be done to give him some relief from his condition. thanks
Better to avoid oncotrex with constant abnormal liver profile...you should try for other modalities of treatment like NBUVB which is safe in elderly...there are also available several biologicals in the market for psoriasis if money is not a constraint.
