I had a severe rash on one ankle and shin. Went to urgent care and they prescribed Triamcinolone 0.1%. It did nothing. A week later I saw a dermatologist. However, I have some crawly feelings in that leg, and some intermittent sharp twinges of pain. Where should I go next? It seems to be woRse when i SIT STILL
You are experiencing paraesthesia. You may also have itching, tingling, numbness, along with crawling sensation. Damage or impingement on the peripheral nerves is the most common cause of the skin crawling sensation. These are the nerves found in the arms and legs. Get clinically examined by a neurologist to treat inflammation, injury, diabetes, vitamin deficiencies etc., that are causing you such symptoms.
Take care of your hygiene. Cleansing and moisturizing are important for eczema. You can take oral steroids and apply ointments like hydrocortisone on the affected area to help symptoms improve. You can consult a dermatologist.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
