hi,did mri,got severe sciatica in left leg,coping know after a long ordeal,report says L5/s1 level demonstrates slight loss of disc height associated with disc dessication and mild asymmetrical bulge on the annulus extending into the lateral recess on the right side.no disc protusion.the remaining lumbar disc spaces were normal. its a month now pain is bearable with pain killers,with it ever get better and how?
If pain is not going with medicines, then consult your orthopedic specialist for traction in the legs for few days to remove pressure from nerve root. Also wear spinal brace and avoid bending and lifting anything.With traction it should heal in few days, otherwise surgical treatment might be needed. usually , with traction for 3 weeks, it subsides.
