Hi Dr. Bhatti; I ve been on Allopurinol for several years and for the last year have had no gout but have slowly developed a chronic and often very painful sore throat. The sore throat has moderate to severe ache and always also exhibits hoarseness and a stiffness in my speaking or singing (yes I am a professional singer). Should I stop Allopurinol completely?
