Suggest Treatment For Severe Stomach Pain And Gastritis
I have a 10 year old daughter who has been complaining of tummy aches everyday. Not sure if it is related or not but she burps a lot and has been getting the hiccups on a regular basis. She has bowel movements every other day usually. Sometimes the tummy aches are accompanied by headaches.
Dear- thanks for using our service. I read your question with care and will try to help you with my medical advise. Your daughter might be experiencing gastroesophageal reflux . When acid goes back to the esophagus, that can irritate the nerves in the area and produce hiccups. However, she can have hiccups from local irritation of the diaphragm, which is the muscle that divides the trunk from the abdomen. Her tummy aches due to the formation of gas and the irritation of it due to excessive acid production. I recommend you to avoid fried food, spicy and things with a lot of condiments. If no improvement, she will need to see the gastroenterologist. I hope that my advise has been helpful Dr.Sara
