Suggest Treatment For Severe Stomach Pain And Headache
Hello, my aunt who is 53 woke up early this morning to really bad stomach pain but had a normal bm. Went back to bed and had chills. Stomach pain went away when she woke up, but felt weak, shaky, had a headache, and has felt lethargic all day. Should she seek medical attention?
Understanding your concern. As per your query your aunt have symptoms of severe stomach pain and headache. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query , but in your case it seems to me that the symptoms are probably due to viral infection leading to increased susceptibility of body. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to drink plenty of water , take benadryl twice a day , avoid eating acidic and spicy food and consult gastroenterologist for proper examination . Doctor may order X-ray of upper digestive tract , ambulatory acidity test and endoscopy of esophagus to rule out condition like acid reflux. For now take antacid and do warm saline gargles .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
