my niece has been having severe stomach problems for about a month. her pain comes on only after she eats. as long as she eats NOTHING she is fine. but if she eats she is doubled over in pain for many hours. she is living only on liquids. she has had a c-scan and ultrasound and endoscopy. all came back negative. she will be having a colonoscopy soon. any clue?

Hi,Dear,Thanks for your query to HCM.
Dear I read your query and reviewed it with context to your query facts.
I understood your health concerns and feel Concerned about them.

Based on the facts of your query, you seem to suffer from-
Celiac disease / could be from Du with Pyloric Stenosis/ or could be from Gall Bladder/TB abdomen?/ possibility of Renal cause is remote but needs to be kept in mind while assessing case of your niece.
Reviewing the story of your stomach pain with the negative CT Abdomen/ USG / and endoscopy.
Colonoscopy would not help her much but needs to be done to rule out any Colonic pathology.
Treatement-
Contrast CT Abdomen would be more helpful in her case and would guide on any of the above possibilities.
Surgeons physical Assessment with Second Surgeons opinion would cross-check the various possibilities discussed above.
Above all if the reason still not found,I would suggest Laparsocopic Exploration of the abdominal cavity in case of your niece.
Remedy-
Avoid Gluten in diet with lack of Wheat.
Be on the Rice +Yogurt diet with
Stress On Liquid and semi liquid diets with high proteins
Avoid Cheese and dairy products.
Vit B12 Tab-2500 mcmg daily to avoid the nutritional deficiency
Tab Folic acid 50 mg / daily would recoup her unstable GI.
Iv Fluids if need be.
Hope this would help you to reduce worry with your problem.
Take care and wish you to recover fast and Live healthy.

Hope this reply would help you to plan further treatment with your family and specialist doctors there.

Welcome for any further query in this regard.
